Required: Stage RESECTABLE, BORDERLINE RESECTABLE, LOCALLY ADVANCED TYPE A
Excluded: Stage EXTRAPANCREATIC DISEASE
clinical stage consistent with resectable, borderline resectable adenocarcinoma of the pancreas, based on CT or MRI findings
Performance status
ECOG 0–1(Restricted strenuous activity)
Prior therapy
Cannot have received: chemotherapy
Has received chemotherapy and/or radiation within three years prior to study enrollment
Cannot have received: radiation therapy
Has received chemotherapy and/or radiation within three years prior to study enrollment
Lab requirements
Blood counts
total leukocytes >3 x10^3/μL; ANC >1.5x 10^3/μL; hemoglobin >9 g/dL; platelets >100 x 10^3/μL
Kidney function
creatinine clearance >60 mL/min or creatinine <1.5 mg/dL
Liver function
bilirubin: may be enrolled with an elevated total bilirubin providing current elevated total bilirubin is shown to be in decline following a stent placement and is judged low enough to safely to begin their assigned chemotherapy regimen by the treating medical oncologist; AST/ALT <3 x ULN (if >3x ULN after biliary decompression, must be declining or eligibility at PI discretion)
